GREEN CYCLE

Before my vacation in my hometown ended, this Friday morning I took the time to do gardening by replanting some of the flowers that were in my house. By replanting flower stalks, the aim is to multiply and renew old flower stalks that are old. In planting these new seeds, I make use of waste that is no longer used as a place for initial planting by using a container of mineral water that has been discarded and not used.

Collected several containers to make pots.

When I finished collecting some of the containers, I started to make holes in the containers to release the water. The hole is made so that when the planted plants are watered, excess water can come out of the container.

Next, puncturing the mineral water container, I started looking for fertile, not hard soil so that my flower roots could grow easily. Apart from looking for soil I also use a little compost. I use about 70 percent soil and 30 percent compost.

After getting both of them I started destroying the soil which was still a chunk. This is done to separate the soil from things the plant does not need, such as gravel and dead roots in the soil.

Mix the fertilizer and the cleaned soil by stirring it by hand. Yup, the most enjoyable part of gardening is being in direct contact with the soil.

After the soil and fertilizer are evenly mixed, then I start putting the soil into the prepared container.

Besides I planted a new stem, I also moved the rooted rose to a bigger place so that it could grow bigger.

Time to plant

Some of the types of flowers I plant are mondokaki, impatiens walleriana, coleus, red roses and hibiscus (hibiscus flowers in my area are rarely planted by people). Maybe in the next post I will show some other types of flowers that my mother planted at home.

And lastly I started moving them to a safe place so they could grow well. Getting enough sunlight and placing it in a safe place aims to avoid dry plants and avoid shocks that can cause the plant to die before it takes root and don't forget to water a bit to keep the soil from getting too dry.

It may take several weeks for the plant to take root. When the plants have grown I will ask my mother to help move them to a bigger place or move them directly to the ground to green back my yard.

Ornamental gardening is kind of interesting if one does it properly. Are there no other ways to propagate some of the plants apart from stem cutting?

Thank you for stopping by, for flowers that have seeds and are easy to grow, it can actually spread the seeds directly. but because some plants do not have these seeds I cut them right away and it is better to do the planting by cutting the stems. that way it will be easier to breed.

I really like your garden, I can see the effort you invest to keep it safe and give it the right care. Thanks for this shared experience, it is great to read this kind of article. Blessings from Venezuela, my friend. :D
