I read it, tried to understand it, read the comments and answers but do not really see the benefits of cross posting if it's not accepted to do with my own post.
For example with the contest I run. I can only post in one hive which means the hive the community has I host this contest for.
If I want to post my contest in a different hive "Community Fun Contest" I need to post exactly the same post there or change it a bit... This is by many also not accepted.

The only positive part of crossposting is I can tell now why I resteem a post, what I think about it. If I really earn with what someone else wrote is questionable.

I believe that you can cross-post your own post.

I had to resteem my own Dpoll in order for it to be visible on my blog! I had to do it with Steemit. Steempeak didn't propose it, I hope in the future. But if I filter resteems on my blog, the post is not visible then.

It's great to be able to tell why the post was worth resteeming.
