I haven’t opened my air drop yet, if you buy 400 packs from the Splinterlands team directly, no secondary market, you are guaranteed to get the card in the airdrop. I’m at 300 packs and I’m buying 100 more at some point when I get enough to afford it. Then I’ll open my air drops to see what I get.

Only the packs you have bought before the airdrop gets counted. Opening a a later time will probably only affect the Random Number Generation to see how many cards you have got. All the Untamed packs bought before a specific airdorp gets counted. If you bought from the first 100K packs, those give you an entry into every single airdrop.
Ah thanks for that, I was saving the last 2 airdrops lol looks like I will have to try and get the necessary DEC faster to buy my last 100!

Congratulations! I have found the level 3 summoners (or level 5 Rare summoners) give the best ban per buck. Even level 2 Legendary summoners can do wonders with a good setup.

Yeah for sure. I’m really looking forward to the day I can get my legendary fire summoner to level 2 lol I don’t even want to try for level 3, 2 is sufficient for me! It helps me so much at level 1, never mind level 2!
Recently I managed to get my Yodin Zaku to level 3. It was hard bu totally worth it.
