Recent dark pinup work from Lovely Organic Apothecary sessions!

I’m sitting here in good spirits, even though I faced some adversity today. Some creative and collaborative blocks, but I’m not going to let that stress get me down. One thing I’ve learned about my self is that I do have a great compass for positive thought and emotional balance. It was late, but I decided to make the trip to @caffetto after a long day of @eos.detroit creative and management meetings. It was exactly what I needed. Some quiet time to sit at my favorite coffee shop and edit a few photos. The work I’ll be sharing here tonight.

Firstly, I have a new edit of a client I shot last Fall at the Lovely Organic Apothecary in South Minneapolis. This shoot sort of fell through the cracks so I’m glad I dug through some of the work I owed and made time to finish it. That entire two days of sessions, all but one client were first time models and that is one of my strengths, I feel. I direct a lot and since my approach to photography is so unusual, the only person that can really follow what is making the image is me. There’s a lot of creative trust involved, but I think this shot speaks for itself.

The following photos are from a second set of shoots for Lovely Organic Apothecary, but much more recent. There were taken in March of a beautiful couple at Farah, the owners, lower level apartment common area. The couple had never done anything like this, and I always commend that kind of courage. I took extra care to make this an unforgettable experience for them. They were high energy, took excellent direction, and the space was rich and interesting. Everything came together.

This is just a sampling of what I’ve been working on tonight. One of the real bumpers about the stuff @swarddraws, @bryan-imhoff and myself are working on is that because of MNDA’s, we can’t really show the progress until its all out the door. Trust me, though, there are some big things coming regarding art and announcements soon. It’s a very exhausting, but exciting time and I feel lucky to be taking part in this chapter of the blockchain revolution. Thanks for reading. For more photography, follow me here!
