The snow is barely melted here in Minnesota and I feel like I’m making this year count. Last year was a void of isolation. This year, I’ve had plenty of time with @lovejoy, @mada and @ghostfish. In a mammoth milestone, today our garage was finally emptied. I rented a massive 25 yard dumpster and by the end of the night, was able to park my car in the garage for the very first time since moving here in 2011. The garden is coming along even though its still chilly. Very optimistic about the future.

I’m here tonight to bring the sexy. On a longer timeline, I see myself using Instagram less and less. I used to rely on the platform to make my living as a photographer, but as the censorship […and I’ll call it out, misogyny] gets worse by the day, I find myself protesting it. I’ve had several friends lose their accounts recently, just for mildly provocative photos. Other friends have been shadow banned with zero visibility to their audience, and I’ve had several photos flagged and deleted.

I’ve been thinking about it, and Hive is my place to share my more erotic work. Even Voice has turned in to a tightly constrained platform that moderates and restricts expression. I like the idea of posting these sexier photos simply because I can. I’m proud of this work and so are the models. Many of these shots are in my book, Dark Pinup by @wcpublishing. Now and then, it feels go to give them a place here on Hive and on Patreon. They make me confident that somehow, 2021 is going to be the year I finally meet and shoot with @eveuncovered.

The second pic is one of my all-time favourites. I think what makes it for me is the picture hanging on the wall behind.

Thanks, @tarazkp! There’s actually a story behind that picture on the wall. It’s a photo I took around 2014 and the model and I had a big falling out. When my book came out, she insisted she didn’t want to be in it, and this photo was one of the promotional photos we used. It turned in to this big drama bomb because the photo had her photo in the background, lol. What a mess. Ultimately, it didn’t matter since I took both photos, but it became a considerable headache for a while.
