Green Water (Photo 52 Week #11 Green)

When I saw the #photo52 theme of the week "Green", I remembered that mossy stream in Slovenia.

Als ich das #photo52 Wochenthema "Grün" gesehen habe, ist mir sofort dieser moosige Bach in Slowenien eingefallen.

This stream is very close to the Šunik water grove, but still in a "tourist-free" zone, at least I have never seen a person there. It is also more difficult to access and there is actually no path, which is great :)

Dieser Bach ist ganz in der Nähe des Šunik Wasserhaines, aber trotzdem in einer "touristenfreien" Zone, zumindest habe ich dort noch nie einen Menschen gesehen. Er ist auch schwerer zugänglich und es gibt eigentlich keinen Weg, und das ist super :)

These first two photos are from the lower part of the stream and there are these beautiful rounded moss-covered boulders between and over which the water flows

Diese ersten beiden Fotos sind vom unteren Bereich des Bachlaufes und hier gibt es diese wunderschönen abgerundeten moosüberwachsenen Felsen zwischen denen und über die das Wasser fließt.

Further up the stream bed narrows and the somewhat steeper and higher sidewalls make a kind of small gorge out of it, and mostly you have to find your way above the stream on the edges of the gorge.

Weiter oben verengt sich das Bachbett und die etwas steileren und höheren Seitenwände machen eine kleine Schlucht daraus, wobei man zum Teil nur oberhalb am Schluchtrand weiterkommt.

The following photo is my contribution to the #photo52 Week 11 Challenge. It is a cut from the picture above, but it shows the topic of the week "Green" most clearly: The water has an intense shade of green that I have rarely seen in nature.

Photo 52 Challenge

That's a great photo challenge. @wwwiebe started the project "Photo 52" and created the Steem Account @photo52.

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4 L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

I leave all EXIF and IPTC information stored in the pictures.

It is magical my dear @nelinoeva, that stream is very close to the quite well visited Sunikov water grove but I have never seen anybody there. I even haven't seen any trash that many tourists normaly leave behind. So I do believe it ust be magical and maybe only I can find the entrance ;)

Alles nur Photoshop ;) Nein, Spaß - ehrlich gesagt war es wirklich so intensiv aus diesem flachen Winkel betrachtet, aber auch sonst war das Grün wirklich viel intensiver als ich es sonst kenne.

Wonderful photos @johannpiber. I wonder what can cause cold water in the fast flowing stream to get beautiful green colour.
Lovely scenery from the lower part of the stream.

I love to be there and explore this area with its beautiful beech forest and this little stream. I'm looking forward to spring, because at the moment there's not much water. To be honest, when I was there I just loved the green water, but I didn't look why it is so green ;)

das kann aber auch ganz schön glitschig werden auf dem Moos denke ich.

Das Grün des Wassers sieht aus wie eine Giftbrühe, dabei denke ich es ist absolut rein.

Das Wasser ist absolut rein. Als ich da war, hat mir das Grün zwar sehr gut gefallen, aber ich habe nicht nachgeschaut, warum es so grün ist. Vielleicht mache ich es das nächste Mal. Dann habe ich ohnehin vor, den Bach weiter in Richtung Quelle zu erforschen.

Nein, eher im Gegenteil - die Stellen, wo die Felsen mit Moos überwachsen sind, die sind mir irgendwie am sichersten vorgekommen beim Durchklettern des Baches. Ist zum Teil wie ein dicker nasser Teppich gewesen.

na ja solange das Moss trocken ist wahrscheinlich. Aber nasses Moos ist meist glitschig. Zumindest habe ich diese Erfahrung mal gemacht, denn von sonst her könnte ich das ja nicht wissen.

Denke dieses Moos steckt voller Leben und dort ist nahezu unberührte Natur.

Aber das wirst Du selbst wissen.

Guten Morgen Peter,

speziell das nasse Moos war nicht glitschig, sondern dort hatte ich sicheren Tritt. Natürlich musst du trotzdem aufpassen, und als ich ein anderes Mal dort gewesen bin, hat es vorher ziemliche Regenfälle gegeben und dann war es zum Teil schon rutschig - ist also je nach Zustand und sowieso immer mit Vorsicht zu genießen, ich bin ja auch eigentlich fast immer allein unterwegs und oft abseits der Orte, wo normale Menschen hinkommen.

Ich mache fast nichts, was ich nicht gefahrlos machen kann - wo ich früher runtergehüpft wäre, da gehe ich heute nur noch vorsichtig an den Rand und ich habe schon einige Male aus genau diesen Gründen umgedreht. Kein Foto ist es wert, das Leben oder auch nur die Gesundheit zu riskieren. Voriges Jahr ist ein Fotograf abgestürzt und gestorben, der an einer Stelle fotografiert hat, wo ich schon oft gewesen bin, nur ist er anscheinend noch einige Meter weiter gegangen...

When this water's color is green, it means there are many aquatic plants, such as algae

Maybe, but the color might also come from the moss that's around or from minerals in the water - I have no idea and maybe you are right :)

Now those look almost magical in nature; I could easily imagine a couple of fairies and sprites darting quickly out of the picture frame just before you took the picture. What an incredible find!

I have been for a walk at the reservoir this morning - didn't wake up and missed a pretty sunrise, but the walk was nice and it is so quiet everywhere.
You don't see many people on the streets and also not many cars ...

its kind of the opposite here to a degree, at the parks and beaches with schools closed and more people telecommuting the parks and beach, walks here seem to be busier than normal for this time of year,

It was about the same here, but not anymore - today will be the last day when many people will enjoy the day outside, and we have a really beautiful and warm day, but from tomorrow on children's playgrounds and sports facilities are closed and all restaurants and bars. Only life essential shops will be open and you should not leave your home unless you really need to.
As of today there is a curfew in Tyrol because there are more sick people than expected, and I do believe the same will be in the rest of our country soon.

I saw reports that they are now saying it is not only spread through coughing onto things but it can hang in the air, at the moment some places are advising people to still go out walking just keep space from people where possible, but i suspect like there that will change here as well

I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore

I haven't heard about that, but that does not mean anything, because we get so many information at the moment that I don't listen to all ;)
We are advised to avoid getting closer than 1 meter / 3 feet to other people unless they are the ones you are living with, what means my family. I wonder how working will be tomorrow - I have my own office, but the doors to the left and right are always open that we can work together. Hopefully none is ill, because then we all might have to be in quarantine for 14 days. In that case telecommuting should be possible.

Stay optimistic as I try to be optimistic too and stay healthy my friend 👍

I haven't seen such a green color in nature before neither, but when I was there I only thought about taking photos, but not about looking where this color comes from. As soon as the borders to Slovenia will be open again I'll go there and have a look ;)
