Moon Plain

“Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment.” Rumi

Moon plain in South Australia would have to be one of the most surreal places we have ever driven through. Harsh empty nothingness; yet somehow full of striking beauty. We were about 2/3rd of the way though our 14,000km (8700 miles) outback roadtrip here. This shot was taken a couple of days before Clancy’s 6th birthday. Juni was just 5 months old and Augie was 4. Looking back at the variety of landscapes and distances covered it seems incredible that we even went on this trip between leaving Canada and heading over to the Caribbean. If anything, the last twelve months has taught me that you can adapt to whatever living space you have available, even with three kids. That’s not to say it’s easy, mostly it’s not. But you can, and it brings with it a lot of freedom. It certainly was good preparation for the isolation and confined living space moving onto a yacht. Stay safe everyone; I might get a chance to post a few more pics now we are stuck in lockdown and forced to slow down a little.
