Quercus faginea subsp. broteroi is an subspecies of oak native to the Southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, which can also occur in Northwest Africa.
Commonly known as Portuguese Oak, it's an extraordinary tree that can reach a majestic size with numerous branches... Just like in a fairy tale!
In the photo below there's the beautiful canopy of a huge specimen, lined by its many green leaves!
