Chispita, my dear puppy

Chispita

Hi steemians:

A couple of hours ago, I checked my PC folders, and I found a couple of photos from 2016 - 2017 of my family, friends and other things, among which were photos of Chispita, the old family pet.

She was a dog very dear to all of us, and I mean a lot to my brothers and me, so today I would like to tell you about her.

Our story with Chispita

In my family we have had a total of two puppies that we have loved with all our heart, but considering that we live in an apartment the stay of these puppies in our house has been very short since we have been forced to give them away (To friends close that we know will give them excellent care). We have always been sad to have given them away because of the great joy they brought to the home, but the policies of the condominium demand to be complied with and although we opposed, in the end we had to yield. So to avoid a similar situation we have decided to stop adopting puppies while we are in this department. What reassures us is that we know they are in good hands and in wider spaces, where they can play and wallow as many times as they want.

I remember very well the arrival of Chispita home, it was a small ball of brown hair wrapped in a towel, inside a basket. She was brought by my sister and her partner, and since her arrival she became the center of attention. My younger brothers (they are twins, by the way) played daily with her running back and forth inside the apartment while my sister and I took care of the heavy tasks like bathing her, cleaning her stool and urine, taking her for a walk and cutting her hair when was necessary.

Little we took her to the hairdresser due to a bad experience with ticks we had. Once we took her to a hairdresser and we looked for her we realized that she had returned with huge ticks that she had obtained at the hairdresser, so since then we have occupied the work of hairdressers my sister and I. I admit that friends recommended different good hairdressers, but we didn't want to risk the same thing happening.

That little ball of brown hair inside the basket is Chispita her first day at home. She didn't get out of that basket, she just slept and slept

Notice how beautiful it was

After his first day at home there was no time where he did not run and jump with my brothers. It barked and rolled a lot and was always attached to your leg. He never ate things he shouldn't, nor broke toys lying on the floor. Only once did he steal a sock from one of my shoes but it was hilarious, and he didn't tear it apart or anything, he just took it with his mouth and fled to the living room.

Her first moments in the house she slept in my sister's room but then we passed it to the laundry room, where she would have more space and it would be easier to clean up his disasters. I remember waking up several times in the morning and going to see her in the laundry room, finding her awake watching towards the door, waiting for anything to move to bark. She was a dog too active and energetic, and it was always a delight to see her play with my brothers.

My sister spent all the time taking pictures of Chispita and I always edited those photographs on my computer to have her with us always.

But then the day arrived, and we had to give to Chispita to avoid problems with the neighbors and the condominium. I remember it was a pretty sad day, and more because my brothers (who were about 6 or 7 years old) were going to miss her a lot. The house had lost a noble and splendid light, and the truth was something that hit us all equally. The love we had for Chispita was enormous, and we knew we would miss her too much. So much so that today, on February 29, 2020, I tell the story of Chispita, our beloved puppy.

But despite how sad it was and is not having Chispita with us, we know that she is having a great time in an excellent place, with people who love her as much as we love her, which is a reassuring. And even if we miss her, we will always remember the good moments we had with her, where she imparted joy and peace to everyone, because that's how she is, my dear Chispita.
