Excellent article. I used to run into this same issue when I was a professional musician. There were days that I didn't want to practice. But usually it was the days that I forced myself to practice that I improved the most.

Thank you for the kind words. I can imagine that a musician will face this challenge also. And especially when you are a professional musician...wow, that must be quite a challenge.

It's amazing though, as you point out, on those days when you just force yourself, how it sometimes turns out to give you the best results.

You are most welcome. Yeah what separates great musicians from mediocre musicians isn't often the 'innate ability' per se. It's the ability to get up and practice like you'd starve if you don't, because that's what happens. 👍
