Combination of Movements in Remembrance of Leungiek Aceh

Dike is a tradition of prayer, "Dike which means remembrance by praying to the Prophet Muhammad, Dike can also be interpreted with poetry whose contents are about the history of the struggle of the Prophet and also his friends in preaching to spread Islam.

On one occasion we were also invited by the host to read remembrance or prayer to the prophet, in that case we also combined this with a gesture or in our language called leungiek.

In my own area in aceh, this has become a hereditary tradition that never goes away from the aceh people by holding remembrance leungiek every birthday celebration, the birthday celebration is almost the same as a birthday, but this is about the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.

In this celebration also held a kind of khenduri or community alms, so anyone can attend this and enjoy the food that has been provided, this khenduri is a form of gratitude for the blessings of the Prophet's birth.

Every time the month of Rabiul Awal comes, almost the whole world commemorates this and that according to their own way, usually this event starts from morning to evening and sometimes in the evening it is followed by religious lectures.
