Sabang - Not only is it a paradise under the sea but there is also a paradise on the land

Welcome back to my blog. This time I will share a little story about my experience to an island which is phenomenal. Maybe most people in the world already know about the potential of this island, but I will try to discuss the other side of this island. Not only about the underwater potential which is very spectacular, but I will also discuss the potential on the mainland of this island that is no less interesting than under the ocean. Hopefully we can both increase knowledge and insight about this island or even exchange ideas in terms of other things.

Sabang is an island name located on the western tip of the island of Sumatra. Precisely in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. It can be said that the island of Sabang is the end of the territory or the peg of the republic of Indonesia. On this island, there is certainly a monument to Indonesia's border monuments, making this island very special because it is located at the very end of Indonesian territory. But the potential of this island is not only because of its location, but people are more familiar with this island with its enchanting underwater natural potential. Sabang is a paradise for lovers of marine sports such as diving and surfing. There are many other marine tourism potentials that continue to be developed to this day. Sabang is indeed very stunning with its sea which is very global, but here I will discuss other potentials that the mainland has. Sabang is also very attractive to tourists so that it can be said that Sabang is not only about the sea but also special on its land. This island is also very suitable for local and international tourists because all other facilities and infrastructure have guaranteed the comfort of tourists on this island. You could say that this island has international standards for all its affairs in terms of tourism, so the potential of this island cannot be doubted.

To be able to reach this island, we can take two routes of travel, namely air and sea. From air travel, we can only fly to this island once a week because the airport there only serves domestic flight routes and the flight schedule is limited, which is once a week or twice a week. Now for the sea trip itself, we can cross to this island every day because ships are provided to cross back and forth every day. To be able to cross by ship, we previously had to go to the Ule Lhee port in the city of Banda Aceh, the capital of Aceh province. This port is the only one that serves the crossing route to Sabang. More or less if we cross there we need about 2 hours if we use the Ferry. However, if we use fast boats, the time we will take is only 50-60 minutes. It becomes a separate choice for tourists who want to choose which ship to cross. Yes, of course, in everything that is chosen, of course there are its own pluses and minuses.

Yes, like other tourist attractions, we are always looking for the main tourism potential source which is very well known there. Sabang is of course very famous for its underwater tourism. Yes, that's why I tried the first thing in Sabang, namely marine tourism, it can be said that the underwater tourism is very spectacular. Because we can witness various kinds of coral reefs and other fish species that seem to be dancing in front of us who are diving.

Next, let's see from the other side of Sabang in terms of the sea towards the land. The first, in my opinion, the most interesting thing is that here we can also enjoy historical tours from the journey of the Japanese colonial era when it was still part of Indonesia. Here we can see first hand the Japanese fortress in the Sabang area and see first hand how the cannon forms. Japan's main weapon against its enemies in the past. After we can go on a historical tour, don't forget to stop by a monument or monument which is very valuable for the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. Namely the zero kilometer monument of Indonesia, I think it will be a huge loss if we visit Sabang when visiting this historical monument. Because we can experience firsthand what it feels like to be at the edge of Indonesia's territory. After we tour the mainland of Sabang, we can end the trip with traditional and international tours along the Sabang coast. Not only tasting food, we can directly enjoy how the sun sets at the end of the Indonesian island. This is a truly spectacular phenomenon in my opinion personally because we can be aware and know that the potential to return to Sabang is not only in the oceans but also in the land. Of course, I don't represent all the tourist objects in Sabang. There are still many other tourism potentials that I cannot convey on this occasion, maybe I can share them on the next day. Yes, maybe this is the reason why Sabang Island is never empty of visitors, both local and foreign tourists, because Sabang not only has a paradise under the sea but also has a paradise on the mainland.
