Jesus - The Center of My Joy

Many people in the world today find joy to be a scarce commodity. This is so because they let their joy be centered and fixed on material things or people. Money and wealth is never a source of joy and happiness but sadly, many feel that fame, wealth, money is a guarantee of staying joyous. This is so not true. Haven't you seen or heard of people who have so much money but lack joy and peace of mind? This is an indication. On the other hand, there are those who have little or nothing but they have joy.
John 15:10–12
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. ‘This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.’”
Joy is something we should all desire to have because it guarantees success and progress in life. One who is always unhappy and sad would not be able to maximize opportunities. Such person would not also be able to people; no one wants to be with a person with negative vibes. Hence, joy guarantees growth.
The source of a lasting joy in life is Jesus Christ only. A man or woman who has given Jesus a place in his life will always be joyous and happy every time. You cannot have Jesus and be lacking in joy. But when you resist Christ and His love, your life can only be miserable and dull.
Make Jesus the center of your joy because all that's good and perfect comes from Him alone. With Jesus comes peace and hope. And hope for a better and glorious future is enough to give one a lasting joy. While many do not have joy in life is because they are uncertain of how their tommorow will look like; they seem to be hopeless.
When we talk of joy, we talk of contentment and satisfaction. Many persons in life are not contented with what they have, they envy others as well as develop covetousness. When you always feel that you do not have enough, you will lack joy. Learn to be contented and satisfied with what you have. This brings joy. Also, it is Jesus that can help you to be contented
Hate, envy, jealousy are among those things that elude a person of his joy. Learn to always love and be happy for others. When you have such attributes, you will definitely be a joyous person. Above all, Jesus is the source and giver of joy. Run to Jesus today and be saved.
Psalm 16:11
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
