Love
If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
One of the fruits in the Bible is love. Love is an affection, a state of caring for another.
We have different types of love do hope you all know about it, I wouldn't love to talk about that though, I will some other time.
Today, I want to talk about love as related in the scripture. God's love is genuine and unconditional.
"And God commanded his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us".
Loving someone based one what we will get in return as reward isn't unconditional. Genuine love is that which is unconditional, no matter what happens.
God's love is the best, so we need to be careful with the love of man. Personally, if no body loves me, then Jesus does, I am totally okay with that.
I'm not saying one shouldn't love his or her neighbor, all am saying is that one should be careful and be weary of men's praise.
Love has been the basis for immorality in the world today because there have been great abuse of this word mostly by the young ones.
Due to that fact, this generation have an ill understanding and a wrong application of the word love.
Many have made mistakes, some are deceived while some are mislead because of the word love.
Let's ponder on the story of the Good Samaritan. That story explains how an individual showed compassion to another who needed help and was in distress when the two of them had nothing in common.
On that note, we should be always sensitive to the suffering and the need of others. We should not relent efforts in showing compassion to anyone we come across.
Love shouldn't be shown only to our friends, families and relatives but to anyone in need.
Love has no race, color, social status, educational background or whatever. Take God as an example, he loves everyone the same, despite our backgrounds. We should also try to do same.
