Proverbs Study 9 - Practical guide to living.

Greetings Brothers and sisters.

Today's verses is quite straightforward.
As Christians we should not be wise in our own eyes, we should always look to God for wisdom to live our life's according to God's will.

Then again the instruction fear the Lord that we looked at before. The fear of the Lord

means to have a holy respect and reverence for God. To know that He is an Almighty, Holy and Righteous God. If we know the fear of the lord it will help us to live a life of obedience to Him.

Depart from evil. It's obvious that if we fear the Lord that we will have nothing to do with evil.

The above is the condition and then we get the promise. God promise us health and strength if we live wisely if we fear Him and has nothing to do with evil. This is a wonderful promise that we can stand on if we are fulfilling the condition.
