Being a farmer or poultry farmer involves consistency and trying out different methods as to get the best one for your farm or birds.
In this case, its my 4 weeks birds, i noticed the chicks have not been growing as expected and there weight have not been encouraging, this has been given so much concern, the chicks are not sick thou so i decided to change their feed to a new one which i made for myself.

ingredients I used;

I blended some white corn with some peanuts together with soya bean.
Corn is rich in fibre and protein, peanuts is also rich source of fat and soya bean has high content of protein. These are rich source of food and i feel they will be good for my chicks too as to their growth and weight.

Then i'd mix that blended contents with guinea corn

As illustrated above, the whole process was shown in the pictures above. That is, the grounded contents the soyabean,peanuts and corn were added to guinea corn so as to aid the chicks growth and weight.

I guess the chicks are not used to this, so at first they were looking, possibly observing the feed but they later eat and i felt with time they will get used to it, since they are still 3 weeks old so that i can have a better results.
