Raspberry Tea - Tea Tuesday
Tuesday is supposed to be #treetuesday and a celebration of everything tree and foliage; not having had the opportunity to see any form of tree of interest of late, however, I decided to make the executive decision to allow myself an entry into a heretofore unknown tag, #teatuesday, and present another new-to-me-tea: Adagio's Raspberry black tea.
I have really been enjoying these Adagio teas; very flavourful and with ingredients that look ... well ... look like real ingredients. Take, for instance, the ingredients for this raspberry tea:
- Black tea
- Natural raspberry flavour
- Raspberries (yes! Actual raspberries)
- Raspberry leaves
How's that for a tea? Actual tea, and actual flavours!
I had previously tried out the Adagio Orange tea, which I found to be rather bitter, more bitter than I actually enjoy. I might like that one more if I put some cream into it. This one, however, is not as bitter, and the raspberry (the actual raspberry, not an artificial flavouring) acts as a natural sweetener. This particular tea I really, really enjoyed.
If you've read any of my previous tea-entries you'll remember that I suffer a severe allergy to nickel, which precludes me from using stainless steel tea strainers, as nickel is a common ingredient. Instead I use silicon strainers, and for this tea I used my Llama strainer, making it a callama-tea (hahahaha!)
The silicon doesn't modify the flavour at all, and it looks just cute steeping in the cup.
My recommendation is on the favourable side for this particular flavour of Adagio tea. It is a black tea, so is caffienated, and is best enjoyed in the morning or early afternoon. I found it to be a very nice after lunch tea.

The llama tea strainer is just too, too cute!!! 😊
Thanks! I've got a few different ones, each with their own piece of character.
What I love about this type of teas, besides the nice mix of flavours, is the smell. Btw, that llama strainer is so neat!!!
I love a good aroma from a good tea, too, and find it's a nice pick-me-up after lunch during the work week. Tea, like good food, is meant to be smelled as much as tasted.
Now that is what I call the read deal tea. Not those in small pouches with a string that you flip up and down in a mug.
Exactly! I'm elitist, @jaynie knows this, and it shows in my tea selection. 😂
