Prostitution was not a choice; It was a lack of choice.

Easy Motion Tourist is a story set in contemporary Lagos that revolves around a female protagonist (Amaka). A lawyer who works with a charity to protect female sex workers whom are vulnerable to their predators (ritualist, killers, high profile/affluent men and so on).

Guy Collins, a British journalist, who's been sent to cover up an upcoming election in Lagos got caught in the middle of a crime scene (mysterious murder of a girl) outside a bar.
Shits happened and the situation he fell into made him cross path with Amaka.

The plot twist wasn't just involving the two individuals, it draws in the police, thugs/criminals and affluent men.
Amaka with Guy, sets in to pull down does that are a treat to the existence of the sex workers.

Leye I must say, is a writer that I would recommend anytime, any day. His so good with words and I enjoyed this book, that I passed the bus stop of were I was heading to in the bus while reading 😁.
I actually didn't plan on reading this book as at when I read it. I was just picking out a read when I read the prologue ,and man!!! it was so catchy.
📖
I saw the beautiful and ugly side of Lagos in this book, the scares it carries, so realistic. It remians me of how interesting, fun and scary that Lagos can be. Also he portraits the sex worker in a different kind of way from the regular slam we get about them. Giving voice and showing the real picture of what they pass through.
📖
By now you already know, I love books that gives me mixed feelings, (I'm laughing, the next minute am scared, the next am mad wishing karma would take full control). It's a page turner, that leaves you wanting for more at the end.

It's a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️read for me, The dialogue 😘.
