Old Barns, revisited in new light

avatar
(Edited)

I had already posted twenty-two barns in my Old Barn Project before I stumbled on a more artistic method of processing the photos that made them even more beautiful that previously shown. The process makes them look a bit like a painting. I recently went back through those earlier barns and re-processed them per the way I've been doing lately, and they are presented here.

The photos are uploaded to a higher resolution than shows in these thumbnails, so readers may click on any one that they wish to see larger. With the exeption of OLD BARN № 022 (which is a photograph of a painting), the other photos are hereby placed under 'Creative Commons' licensing, and are free for use under the 'CC BY SA 4.0' guidelines as mentioned in this post.

Ooooh this is really cool, how long did it take you to collect them all for the post? Links I mean.

Not too long, as I had my old posts open in one tab, and this post in the Editor of another tab. What was time-consuming was re-editing all the pics, but it was worth it! 😁

They are beautiful. In all honesty, I think I prefer the originals. This process somehow softens the wear and tear they have suffered in order to reach 'old barn' status.

It's like how I feel about myself, I guess. People are concerned about the 'lines' on their faces while I feel I earned every one.
