This little scamp of a barn tried to hide from me, behind those trees! But, I found it, anyway! Isn't it frustrating when your photographic subjects try to hide their charms from you?

I love trees, except when they occlude my view of barns in photographs. But there are so many trees along the roadside here that it was impossible to get a clear shot of the barn without them. The only other option would have been to drive around to the house of the landowner and ask permission to walk on his property to get a clear shot of the barn, which wasn't a desirable option at the time.

This is a lovely barn and looks quite old, indeed, but still in a decent state of repair. The owner seems to have a good bit of land, but I can't tell from the aerial photos if he farms it or not. Many people in this area are beekeepers, grow fields of grass that is mown for hay, or keep livestock, so not all farms have crops. This charming little barn looks very serviceable for storing supplies and implements, if not sheltering livestock.

There is a second barn on this property, but it was even more occluded by trees and I was unable to get a decent shot of it. Therefore, it was not cataloged with my Old Barn Project when OLD BARN № 067 was. However, I revisited the site earlier this year before the COVID-19 lockdown went into place and discovered that some trees and brush had been cleared by the roadside further down the hill and I was thrilled to be able to get a very clear shot of the second barn, after all! So, it was added to the end of my list and will be presented at a later date! Gotta keep things organized, ya know, and try to stick with my original numbering scheme! 😁
