Black & Green on #caturday

The outdoor-loving Black Cat has found a lovely little hidey-hole amongst some bushes in the back yard. It's underneath a quite large White Oak tree, of which he has always been fond. In fact, I actually caught him one time climbing up the side of the tree and brought him back down. Fortunately, he was only about six feet (two meters) off the ground and I was able to simply reach up and grab him! He frequently sat beside that tree, as if he found it comforting on some level.

Now, on the other side of the tree, he curls up beside an azalea bush (seen behind him in the photo) and some small White Oak saplings that are coming up from dropped acorns. Sometimes, I think he catnaps here, but other times he just lies there watching the birds and soaking up the warm air. Perhaps he is using it as camouflage, ready to leap into action should a pesky squirrel or stray cat enter His Royal Demesne. 😱

Nice kitty! And nice photo. Black cats are notoriously difficult to photograph; they don't reflect light!

He's so furry and curious haha. You are lucky to be surrounded by cats.

Great looking cat. They're masters of camouflage! Always hiding somewhere. 😄
