My life was that of any stray cat. I don't remember much about my childhood, well, I'm still quite young. Only that my mother left me in that corner in a street and there I got with other stray cats, some quite rough by the way, but that beautiful furred cat adopted me, I always remember her and my heart rejoices.

Her name was Penelope, she was great and elegant, not at all stray. She always protected me from the rest of the rough and ordinary cats and raised me as her son she was my mother to me.

My coat was white as snow, with somewhat brindle features, many said that I looked like a family of some of those wild cats. I used to jump around on the roofs of the houses, together with the rest of the gang. Some of them were very, very wild, the tough guys would call them humans.

There was one called Rocco, he was completely black, he was scary. He was big and strong, with a lot of hair, hahaha, and he kept fighting with every wild cat he could find. At night, you would hear the noise and bustle of Rocco fighting on the roofs of the houses.

We would eat leftover fish that some of the inhabitants of that street would give us. We lived under a yellow van that had been abandoned a long time ago on that street.

He had always been curious about entering that big courtyard in the house across the street. It looked immense. There were a few trees, among them a fruit tree known as Mamón. But I was always afraid of the dogs that lived there, they were the most ferocious as the whole neighborhood said.

I loved to walk around the walls of the patio and watch them bark desperately trying to reach me hahaha. I laughed and passed by laughing heartily at that black and brown dog that wanted to get me down from the wall.

On one of those walks, I got careless and fell into the courtyard, I ran desperately, because although they say that cats have seven lives, I still take care of them all, you never know when luck fails us. I fell into the foliage and there he came towards me, the brown and black dog that I used to make fun of so many times while taking my walks along the wall.
