Them Bloody Icicles

Now those were interesting and formed at a curious place. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to make anything better than a snapshot.

I was walking towards the opening ceremony of a photographic exhibition a friend of mine participated in. Also, a former teacher. It was the second time Guru Shots organized an exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria.

An offtopic note

I am going to say this here and it will remain unseen, I suppose. For now. Guru Shots have gamified the usual picture uploading and voting for. Without the blockchain. And they are huge. Now, what would it look like if Photostream, for instance, or another photographic tribe to come were to actually spice things up instead of just repeating the usual Steemit UI? Yeah, that would take some designing and coding.

Coinaphoto have even introduced their own token on their semi-stock, semi-social photo site where duels are implemented as part of the social photo game. Something that SMT could possibly improve?

End of the offtopic note

Those icicles have taken some of the tree's sap or fine dust upon the bark and their tips look as if blood is dripping there. That reminded me of El Drago — the dragon tree which I visited along with @silver.art last summer. Its sap is said to be red as blood. Well, other trees have some of that hue in theirs.

On the photographic qualities of the shots

It was getting dark at dusk. I had to use some relatively low speed. So I chose not to zoom in too much.

I am saying this for two reasons. I would like to challenge those of you who think Photography to guess what they are. Hint — it would be nice to have a better separation of the background from the foreground. One of the things is about the available method to do so. The other — the reason why I did not use that method. You got all the info necessary.

Have a great week!

Yours,

Manol
