Celebrate Love and Life!

Mothers deserve much more than being celebrated only once a year, on Mother`s Day. So does any parent who chose to raise children over having a career. Those who manage to do both are superheroes! They would need a whole month of celebration at least!

No other job in the world requires being on call 24/7 all year round for the rest of your life! (Yes, children do grow up but it does not mean that as a parent you stop worrying for them even when they are adults!) Being a parent is a tough and demanding job. It is rewarding as well, as you get to see and shape the upcoming of a child.

Mother`s Day is a great way to start showing some love and gratitude to the person who loves you the most. (Hint: That should be you!) It is a perfect time for you to pamper yourself and show some self-love.

Loving yourself does not make you a narcissist or an egocentric person. It actually means accepting yourself the way are, with your flaws, weaknesses and imperfections. Unconditional self-acceptance is the gateway to happiness. The sooner you will understand this, the happier you will be!

Thus, remember that you do not need to take time of for yourself only on Mother`s day. Do it whenever you feel the need to boost up your strength or when your energy levels are down.

Drop everything and take a small break from the daily chores and spend this time in dialogue with yourself or do any of the suggestions below. There is no magic formula or one size fits all remedy.

Rest or sleep. Take a bubble bath. Drink a glass of a wine. Call your best friend. Listen to music and dance. Go for a walk. Exercise. Read a book. Breath. Meditate. Do whatever your soul desire. You will always be a mom, is part of who you are!

Therefore, instead of celebrating Mothers day with your kids, celebrate life. Enjoy the spontaneous little things that make you smile, those that bring the magic spark into your eyes. Cherish those moments that make your children`s eyes twinkle. Those are far more valuable than any gift they would have dutifully given you.

When you cherish daily what have, you set an example for your children. You teach them real values. Breakfast in bed, flowers, cards and other trinkets are nothing but a mere substitute for true feelings.

Children do not need a special day to be reminded that they love their parents. That comes naturally, each day of the year! So why not nurture this idea and ditch the commercial gimmick!

Have a blessed day!
