Greek dish Bamies (Μπάμια)

Abelmoschus esculentus is called Bamies in Greek (Μπάμια)

My late mother-in-law taught me how to cook Μπάμια.
She generally cooked just great !!!

In height, Μπάμια can reach up to 2 meters.
Its stalk is thick, which woods.
The stem is covered with sparse stiff hairs.

About Μπάμια from wikipedia:
"Chemical composition
Okra (Μπάμια) is rich in nutrients, including ascorbic acid and other vitamins. The seeds contain up to 20% oil, reminiscent of olive. Okra pods are rich in mucous substances, contain a lot of proteins, carbohydrates, organic acids, vitamins and various mineral salts. "
