248th STEEM TORCH CARRIER

What a feeling holding the red hot Steem Torch in my hand! To top it all 960 hot Steem appeared like magic in my wallet for a little while; I’ll tell you all about what’s going to happen to this torch and the loot!

I am super honoured that our Queen of Vegan Cooking, the lovely @lenasveganliving, who hosts the weekly #fruitsandveggiesmonday contest chose to pass the Steem Torch on to me!
Have I been living on another planet as I never heard of this until Superwoman @plantstoplanks jumped out onto my screen holding a Steem Torch?

So I’m the kind of gal who looks at the world through rose tinted spectacles and this little experiment started by @geekgirl is proving that those spectacles are indeed right many times - the world is still filled with many many good and kind people.

WHAT IS STEEM TORCH?

Steem Torch is an experiment to demonstrate the speed and trust in transferring value on Steem social network.
Steem Torch Keeper is a user who received a Steem transfer with "Steem Torch Experiment..." memo and is about to pass it to the next user.
When Count reaches to 1337 the experiment ends with success. 1337th Torch Keeper can donate the total amount to Steem based charities, Steem projects, distribute to minnows, burn it by sending to @null, or ask the community what to do with it.
1337th Torch Keeper must not keep the funds or use for personal projects.

So I am the 248th Steem Torch Keeper and it feels really good to be a part of this experiment, but the Torch is getting red hot and time has come to pass it on to someone I can trust and who continues to be active on Steemit.
My first thought was it should go to a fellow foodie friend, but on second thoughts I felt it wiser to take the Steem Torch a little further afield.
I’m passing it on to a stellar Steemian who I met purely by accident after much confusion with my name by @sultnpapper; it was on his blog that I bumped into the kindest and very talented author @ericvancewalton, who will from here on safeguard the Steem Torch till it reaches its next carrier.

Besides writing novels, Eric is very active on Steemit; responds to every comment on his posts, encourages newbies and puts out awesome challenges like his recent Pay it Forward for the Holidays.
So I hand over the Steem Torch to @ericvancewalton with a happy heart, knowing he will take it to someone we can all trust!

Steem Torch Rules:

1. Add 1 Steem or lower amount or nothing at all to the amount received in Steem Torch transfer.
2. Do not decrease the amount received.
3. Use the original memo: Steem Torch Experiment! Count: 1. Please read the Steem Torch Rules before passing it to the next user. and change the count number by adding 1. For example, if the received memo is Count: 20, your sending memo will be Count: 21.
4. Choose a Steemian who you would like to pass the Steem Torch to. Preferably someone you trust will follow the Steem Torch rules, is active, and you believe will pass the Steem Torch to the next user.
5. Not required, but recommended to inform the next Torch Keeper of the transfer and follow up after the transfer.
6. Send the Steem Torch with the new amount and memo to the next Torch Keeper as soon as possible.
7. Try not to send it back to the previous Torch Keeper or someone you know already was a Torch Keeper.
8. When Count reaches to 1337 the experiment ends with success. 1337th Torch Keeper can donate the total amount to Steem based charities, Steem projects, distribute to minnows, burn it by sending to @null, or ask the community what to do with it.
9. 1337th Torch Keeper must not keep the funds or use for personal projects.
