Summer Solstice in Bakonycsernye
Summer is raging and today is the longest day and shortest night. So today should also celebrate the summer solstice, but it is a working day, so we already celebrated it at the weekend. The location was, of course, in a place close to nature, in the village of Bakonycsernye, on the edge of the forest, on a friend's plot.
I’ve been happy to go there for a year now because we hold amazing drum circles. For this occasion, we have invited a shaman who has conducted the ceremony. The ceremony lasted from sunset to sunrise, and we all jumped over fire at night, for health, well-being, love, peace. The whole event was very intimate because we weren’t very many, almost everyone knew everyone. We cooked the food together and what we took there offered others. This is where the development of a community where all ages began can begin. There are also a good number of young people.
We set up our tents during the day, I even fastened a hammock between two trees. I thought I might sleep in the hammock for 1-2 hours with a thin blanket, but as the sun went down, the air gradually cooled.
I also took my rattles and jewelry, but unfortunately this time I didn’t sell any for the money, just a rattle as a gift for a birthday and a jewelry set for the host’s wife.
We spent at least an hour applying firewood and loading the bonfire. When the last rays of the sun disappeared, the ceremony began. No photos have been taken of this, as it is very intimate.
I only caught a few moments of drumming around the fire at night. I really like dawn. When the sky starts to lighten at 3 in the morning, but you have to wait another hour and a half for the sun to appear in the distant mountains.
The neighbor's rooster was already crouching in his hoarse voice, followed by the other roosters and birds. The nightingales, that had been singing all night, went to rest among the bushes. We also greeted the day with voices of songs and drums.
