Old barn must carry so many stories over the years of use, this one is sizable, would be interesting to see what original home looked like.
Ladder system on the rooftop may have been used for lifting sheeting to replace when needed. Shovel snow off the roof is heavy snow fall season or rigging to lift loads up into the barns hay-loft. All or none perhaps would be interesting to see inside how it was secured. Wood ladders to reach the top perhaps one to reach roof top, another to reach that permanent one reaching apex using 3 ladders remembering no extension ladders were available yet.
Oh the magic of seeing these old barns does make one think how earlier generations overcame problems they faced. Awesome photography as always and thanks for sharing!
