Focus, Faith, Forward...

“Dare to dream! If you did not have the capability to make your wildest wishes come true, your mind would not have the capacity to conjure such ideas in the first place. There is no limitation on what you can potentially achieve, except for the limitation you choose to impose on your own imagination. What you believe to be possible will always come to pass - to the extent that you deem it possible. It really is as simple as that.” ― Anthon St. Maarten

I have never been the person that dwells on the magnitude of the mountain - the fact that getting over it is seemingly impossible, or such a massive quest that you simply get tired at the mere thought. No, that is not who I am – never was, never will be. Without even realising it, I learnt the art of intention at a relatively young age and I have long since trained my mind to “mentally and emotionally” find the straight line between A and B, including the removal of knots and tangles along the way.

Yes, I have written about this many times before from varying degrees and perspectives but it is not a one dimensional arena. Subjects like this actually need to be approached from multiple angles for the simple reason that they are multi-faceted and you are never done learning – there is ALWAYS something additional to absorb and process, and the reality is – the more of this that you do, the greater your understanding becomes. Nobody becomes a master in a day and the real masters are always the ones who are willing to observe the same subject at 360 degrees – on repeat.

People will often say they understand a “process”, but they actually don’t fully grasp it. Not unlike how many will say they are fine when they are anything but. We are often flippant about the things which actually warrant more attention. There are many quotes and writings which refer to the art of reaching not only your goals, but attaining your greatest wishes and deepest desires and they all have one common thread – that being, what is done with… and how the space and/or time between the beginning and the end is handled.

“By choosing to hang on to one’s corner of freedom even in the worst situations, we can process our world with the energy of appreciation and beauty, and create an opportunity to transcend our circumstances.”― Wayne W. Dyer

The desire for “Control” is probably one of mankind’s greatest downfalls - Our complete inability to leave a little to faith and even less to imagination. We live in a society of instant gratification which ultimately stunts the fundamentals required for achieving anything of any real worth. People don’t know how to “just be” anymore – have a dream or goal, be excited about it and step by step work your way toward it. There is a progression, a magic that happens in that process… Energy mixes and matches, doors close – new ones open… people leave, things change – opportunities present themselves and all the while we keep moving forward… one step closer each time to the what, where and who we have our sights set on – but the magic? It is in the trust - the lack of power given to doubt and question. This is not to say you don’t acknowledge its presence, you simply refuse it power over you. You turn it from foe into friend.

“And your doubt can become a good quality if you train it. It must become knowing, it must become criticism. Ask it, whenever it wants to spoil something for you, why something is ugly, demand proofs from it, test it, and you will find it perhaps bewildered and embarrassed, perhaps also protesting. But don't give in, insist on arguments, and act in this way, attentive and persistent, every single time, and the day will come when, instead of being a destroyer, it will become one of your best workers--perhaps the most intelligent of all the ones that are building your life.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke

When you want to “get somewhere” or “achieve something”, you have to keep marching forward, keep your focus sharp and your intent bright. Allowing doubt to consume you will stop you dead in your tracks… make you step backward in fact. It will kill it all – wreck it, from the inside out… and then you will sit and question yourself, filling that cup with more of the same - A vicious cycle and not unlike a wild fire when left to hop, skip and jump all over the place.

We need to remember how to just let go and believe with complete abandon… like a child does. They have no idea how what they want will come to fruition but they want it so much and simply trust that it will. That is the secret of it all. We knew it once, just as they do now… but we have forgotten – we need to awaken the free in our spirits, then and only then – our lives will change.

“When you shift to an abundance mind-set, you repeat to yourself over and over again that you’re unlimited because you emanated from the inexhaustible supply of intention. As this picture solidifies, you begin to act on this attitude of unbending intent. There’s no other possibility. We become what we think about, and as Emerson reminded us: “The ancestor to every action is a thought.” As these thoughts of plentitude and excessive sufficiency become your way of thinking, the all-creating force to which you’re always connected will begin to work with you, in harmony with your thoughts, just as it worked with you in harmony with your thoughts of scarcity. If you think you can’t manifest abundance into your life, you’ll see intention agreeing with you, and assisting you in the fulfillment of meager expectations!” ― Wayne W. Dyer

Yes we are never done learning, totally. Oh I do wish to recapture just a hint of that child like faith in the possibilities of everything, long before falling prey to being jaded by the world. Damn fine stuff Jaynie.

If we were ever doe learning, life would become a complete bore wouldn't it!

I hear you. But know this, it is all a state of mind, nothing more.

Too much information is distracting, power of keeping on track. Unfortunately the older one gets the harder it is to shrug off self-doubt, unlike children who bulldoze into situations not over thinking outcome. Oh drag that childlike mind out and use it!

Excellent photography and life lesson once again @jaynie

Taking control and running the gauntlet without overthinking of late is good, too much planning takes the excitement out of ventures.

Have a great short week!

We do need that child like state where we believe that anything is possible. I am a big fan of Wayne Dyer and I do believe that we can manifest great things in our lives. It takes great power to suspend the disbelief and start dreaming. Beautiful post Jaynie!
