My children never really fond of prawns until one day, they just surprised us by saying, "We are ready to try eating prawns soon, but not squid....yet...". Their aunt heard the surprise 'announcement' and she too, gave them a surprise! 😍

We visited her yesterday, and when we reached, she immediately told the boys this. "Surprise on the table!" They thought she bought them new toys, but no, the surprise was better than toys, in my opinion.

Stir Fry Prawns with Broccoli and Enoki

My eldest still doesn't eat shitake mushroom, only enoki mushrooms, hence the reason why this dish was with enoki mushrooms. She briefly told me how she prepared this. I just typed as she how she listed the steps.

• Steam the broccoli and capsicum
• Marinate the prawnd with sesame oil, salt and pepper
• Stir fry garlic until fragrant, add in prawn, stir fry only for one minute, add in pre-cooked broccoli and capsicum. Prawns cooked very fast, so we need to use pre-cooked/steamed broccoli and capsicum.
• Add in enoki mushroom, oyster sauce, soy sauce. You taste by yourself the taste.
• If cook for adults, can add in cooking wine/ Shao xing wine(optional)
• season with somemore salt or sugar or pepper, you taste accordingly

Super duper yummy

The prawns were so fresh and juicy. The sauce was yummy. Basically, the whole dish was heavenly. The boys actually ate the prawn the way they ate chicken nuggets. Haha!

Below is steamed minced pork with egg, with a little twist as she added salted fish on top. The whole dish was flavourful. The youngest, Jansen, ate this like how he ate pizza. Just took the triangle pieces and chomp chomp chomp.

Below is glass noodle cooked in her homemade chicken broth, with fishballs and lettuce. I love this warm soup dish. Now, I feel like eating it.
