Sensory Play Relaxing Day // Homeschooling

I read today about a quote on homeschooling, that it is a public school at home, but rather a learning at home following schedules suit us. I AM LOVIN' IT!

Today, I am not feeling like touching any books for writing or reading after days of taking care of Jansen, my CDH-er son who was having some abdominal pain (surgery complications). Days like this drained out all of my energy — physically, mentally and emotionally.

So it becomes a whatever-happens-happens and relaxing kind of day. The boys watch some Science and Into The Nature Adventure videos on YouTube, then my eldest wanted to open the container of kinetic sand I just bought online. It was on clearance sales, so why not.

Sensory play it is!

It came with random colour, meaning you don't get to choose the colour you want since it was on clearance sales. We are glad we receive the orange colour - a neutral colour which is good for all. And it comes with all the tools and moulds and numbers and the inflatable 'pool' for you to play the kinetic sand with. All packed into his nice container. What a deal!

The boys were really having fun, and I was having fun too. Really love the texture of kinetic sand, this was not the first time for me and my eldest son, but it is the first time for my youngest son. Therefore, he was still trying the feel of it as well as learning to play it. It is great to develop some sensory skills in it. I asked him to shape the sand whichever he likes and let his imagination guides him. It was awesome solid one-hour relaxing moment arouns the sand. I did not mind at all the mess, just simply sweep the sand, all done!

I start to love the idea of homeschooling because you get to be free to freedom and fun to enjoyment. Wait, what phrase I just said, haha! I WONDER TOO. I asked my son whether he wants to be homeschool. He gladly says no, because he loves to hang around with friends despite some super strict unloving teachers who beat them everyday. And I gladly receive his answer too, cause then I just need to focus on homeschooling one!

Yay!

High-5 too all Steemians.

P/S: The youngest son is feeling much better today, started to eat but still can't drink alot, so we tube-feed to hydrate him. Picture for hope.

Jude used to love that stuff! He had so much of it! I hated it because it got all over the house lol.

Looks like you are really enjoying the home schooling hon - that is fantastic!

Your kid is probably more like mine, walking all over the house while "playing" with the sand.

I can't figure out how parents manage to contain their kids into only one spot so the mess is in only one spot.

I'll keep reading @iamjadaline's posts to find out. lol

Kinetic sand was a big hit at our house! My son and his friends loved it! They barely touch the play dough now. Kinetic sand and the play rice table are they first options!

Hey Mama, you are doing a great job!

The thing I loved about homeschool the most is that I recognized that there is learning in everything also, that if I felt like doing lessons at 4pm, than that's when I did lessons!

Keep going <3

Sounds like a much needed type of class! Glad your little one is improving and eating a bit again. Hopefully he continues to improve.

Poor little one, hope he's feeling better soon.

You did get a good deal on the kinetic sand, we got a box ages ago and it didn't have any moulds but we did have a lot of fun rolling and scraping things which they were able to make interesting sculptures with :)

"Whatever-happens-happens" sounds like my every day XD
