RE: The sore dwarf and the bucked-tooth giant

I like privacy but having a jungle around the house is not my idea of privacy. Bushes, trees are find though. Storing garbage behind a jungle is again something I would never do. Maybe it's not visible from outside as it's protected by the jungle but still, I can see it and it would make me angry.

It's hard work now but it's going to end one day eventually and then you can lay back and enjoy the view, knowing you did a great job. After all you're doing it for yourself and your family well being.

The "jungle" in Finland doesn't have snakes, spiders and wild pigs at least :)

I am looking forward to this time. I like the idea of living in a place that I (and several paid professionals) have built.

You just thing the jungle doesn't have spiders. Let the jungle grow and you'll see the spiders.

Oh, I was also meant to say about the "I can see it" thing you mentioned. I reckon this is part of being a professional - just because it isn't seen, doesn't mean it should be there. I like the Japanese process of design where they think about how something looks, even when it isn't going to be seen. It results in them investigating more deeply.
