HIVE COMIC #19 DAGOBERT DUCK ~ JOIN HIVEPUD PRE BLOG
Donald Duck is a weekly Dutch magazine with mostly comics. The magazine is named after the duck Donald Duck, who is also central to many of the main stories. In addition, all kinds of other characters from the cartoon and comic world of Walt Disney regularly feature in the magazine. The first Dutch version of Donald Duck was released on October 25, 1952. In many other countries a parallel monthly or weekly newspaper had already existed for some time, such as Topolino in Italy, Anders And & Co in Denmark, Micky Maus in Germany and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories in the US. In 1950 Mickey Magazine was published in Belgium.
This is my inheritance and these beauty’s are 40 years old, and they are for the kids we have 80 pieces.
The very first issue was published by the magazine Margriet and was delivered to every family. This first issue was half in color and half in black and white and had 24 pages. It contained a Dutch translation of Carl Barks' story Donald Duck as a fireman ("Donald Duck as a fireman") and a story by Wolfje. Margriet subscribers were given the opportunity to receive the Donald Duck weekly for 15 cents per song.
For the first few years, the pages were alternately color and black and white. Number 10 from 1954 was the first issue to be issued entirely in color. The magazine initially consisted of 24 pages. Number 40 of 1958 was the first 32-page Donald Duck. From the first issue of 1989, this number went up to 40 pages. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary in (2002), the number was increased again from 2003 to 44 pages. Thicker numbers were also released regularly.

I didn't know this until doing some research, but supposedly Uncle Scrooge is Donald Duck's uncle from across the pond.
I didn't know this as a kid, but I always remember them being related in some way. I was thinking of you when I made this one, but I will also find one featuring Donald himself very soon.
