Music bits 004: The fun musical mix of 'San Juan Project'

Brass Band, Jazz, Swing, Funk, Rockabilly, Hip Hop, Electronic Music and a huge range of latin sounds are the ingredients of the always happy sound of "San Juan Project", a band originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, that after making a name on the local scene, little by little begins to expand its radius of influence and its significance in Mexico and the world, suffice it as an example to mention that in 2017 they performed at the Glastonbury festival.

The band started playing jazz in bars in Guadalajara, and their music was totally instrumental. However, seeking to connect better with the public, generally not very accustomed to jazz, they began to incorporate elements of funk and electronic music into their music, and after an evolution of several years, achieve a sound that also incorporates elements of brass bands, rockabilly, latin sounds and even hip hop.

Today, with three albums already made, and despite a significant rotation of its members, they have already incorporated in a very marked way, lyrics to their songs, which follow the playful and experimental style of their music.
