Exciting Times!

This is a very tumultuous time for the world in terms of the pandemic affecting us all. And in the midst of this, we are seeing a REVOLUTION of the power of COMMUNITY.

There was a big uproar in the beginning when the witnesses took the step to freeze out the ninja mined stake of Steemit Inc. Was it ethical to do that? Well, the ensuing events seem to uphold their decision because where would be today if it had not been done? In my opinion, the puppet sock witnesses would have been put in place and the change in power-down time would have gone through, allowing all the STEEM to be raped and the blockchain left in shambles. Of course, this is my own opinion.

But the community rallied first with crushing Sun's plans by replacing the witnesses. This was the first indication of the power of the community. I'm sure this was in no way imagined to be possible by Sun, who really had no idea what he was getting himself into with his purchase.

HIVE is a new hope for us, the community who has been here working and building a place and stake. I'm very excited to be migrating there and taking part in the improvements and building of an even better community blockchain. We can do this! It's great to be a part of being the "little guy" fighting off the greed and the unmitigated audicity of someone thinking they can just come in and wreck our home.

Hope to see you there - HIVE - JOIN THE REVOLUTION!!

The same bloody place we are at present.

v. 22.2 did nothing, nothing and more nothing. A chain hard fork was always the ultimatum; which should have been used instead of breaking the chain's trust by removing options from targeted accounts; even if retold that the intent was temporary. Mr. Sun achieved that promise with v. 22.5.

That said, the chain fork has finally been achieved. My only hope is that the OpenSeed project as explained by @andrarchy will be able to tie the shards and splinters of the once great community together as it continues the decentralization process.

Well hello there, it's nice to see a familiar face. It's been a while and I hope Narrative see's the light of day again.

As for the softfork, while I disagreed with it I understand why it was done. We still should have let JS throw the first stone, because no matter what, Hive would have been born.

I hope you have been well and look forward to your future content.

Thanks @notconvinced! I'm not recognizing this name - did you have a different one in Narrative? I'd like to see Pubnooks get up and running again as well, I met some really nice people there and I think the current group can get it going in the right direction eventually.

Maybe you'll recognize SolCycler? It looks like my re-intro post jogged your memory.

I never heard of pubnooks, but if it shut down it doesn't matter.

Are you on the N2 mailing list? I followed the mailchimp link, but it didn't give me an option to add myself to the mailing list.

If you get a Discord invite, I'd appreciate you sharing it with me.😀
