With Twitter being hacked it just shows how much Hive is ahead of time

For those of us using decentralized platforms, we just can't stress enough when it comes to opting out of centralized platforms.
The sad reality is folks will still go on with their daily acts on centralized platforms trusting their data with the wrong entities.

It is time folks wake up!

Technically a take over of HIVE is still possible just not worth it to spend all that money for so few users and in addition the domain is also still centralized and can be hacked and taken down

Yes there’s an additional layer of safety with the chain but it’s by no means full proof! Twitters hosting and CDN make it as good as a blockchain for storing data in any case

I think this USP of Blockchain sites is still pretty half arsed at the moment lol just my opinion.

From Steem's experience Hive looks stronger and will only continue to grow stronger as development continues.
Having several points of attack will make more difficult for Hackers compare to a central point of entry.

We should continue to get Hive stronger

In terms of what? That steemit had all that stake? Yes that’s one less point of failure but it doesn’t mean every single of the top 20 is incorruptible that a super majority won’t do something self serving

No doubt at this stage there are points to attack or hostile take over like we experienced on Steem, what I have learned from Steem is we have a gift, we have something good going on and it can only get better but we have to work it, put our house in order, it is in our hands both witnesses and the community at large and that is why I believe we owe it to ourselves to make Hive great.
