The quail are getting ready for Easter by laying Easter eggs, LOL!

The quail are getting ready for spring to by laying an egg a day. All I had to do was get them inside the garage and keep them above freezing and give him a little artificial light.

I had them on feed for game birds, and they seem to like it quite well!

Here are my Easter eggs what do you think?

The birds are quite happy, and they are growing well. I will probably run some of these to the incubator soon and raise some up that I can release. These are intended to help with tick problems on the homestead! According to my reading, if I release a hundred or so around the house; it will depress the local tick population significantly.

The birds are definitely doing their part.

I hope the support a significant wild populations of these birds, and I'm going to try to free range some of them from a coupe.

They're attractive Birds but once they're in the grass they're almost impossible to spot. They do grow extremely fast moving from hatched chicks to laying eggs in a couple of months.

They are relatively quiet also unlike guinea hens! Keep on prepping, and get your homestead safe from the liberal's.

They are pretty small, but they hatch in mass; which offsets their smaller size! They are all dark meat too....

An interesting publication, was unaware of the issue of the relationship of this bird and the fact of eliminating the plague of ticks. It is a publication of the teamwork of man in raising these birds and nature for what they are destined to do.

Receive a wonderful energetic hello on behalf of the PAL community and its healing team @minnowsupport and @ msp-curation
Good vibes.

Thanks, the removal of ticks was the primary reason that I got the eggs to begin with. The number of eggs that they lay and the speed that they grow was just a pleasant surprise. I've already released about 50 of them around the homestead, and plan to release a lot more! I have a high number of deer living in the homestead, and that seems to run up the number of ticks.

I had a friend stopped by to mow it for me, and he called and told me there were nine deer on the property when he pulled in. They didn't appreciate him cutting their food, LOL! One of the major reasons my wife wants to move out there, it's so she can watch the deer. I am putting corn and a salt block out for them, so she can watch them after we move in.

Reducing the tick population with quail will allow me to avoid spraying because the deer will keep bringing them in. This will likely reduce the overall tick population and probably make the dear little happier, which will make my wife happier!

Thanks for the 'hello', nice to have you stop by.

Ah, okay, you should publish more of this experience. I find it interesting, add ocd within your tags and if you can write more than 300 words, which I am sure they will maybe read a little more to you. You can also post from the ocd community.
Well now, I have a curiosity, are you not worried about the excess of birds?
Have you tried spraying the area with orange peel water and baking soda? I do not know how much ground space we are talking about, but I do understand that the tick does not support acidity.
I'm glad I found him, because I also like to appreciate the love he has for his wife, when she says that she does it to make her feel happy, she has given me a great gift today.
Greetings and good wishes again.
Good vibes.

The birds spread out over about 40 acres, while I have under 2. The homestead touches Corp of Engineers land around Keystone lake, so it is like having 60 acres.

I hope to release enough birds for a sustaining population that will spread. I have no love for the ticks They will eat!

Spraying a couple of acres is temporary, and expensive. I hope to solve the problem with these quail.

She is the air I breathe, so I love making her happy!

Be blessed.
