Backwards - Para atrás
The title of this publication is an expression widely used by these latitudes to mention that some situation is getting worse instead of better.
That is the feeling that I have for a few days with this platform.
In the last few days we have had problems publishing, in my particular case it led me to post the same thing twice since I did not receive the notification that the publication had been successful as always, and I sent it again. From conversations with other users and from what I have been able to observe in my favorites list and in the communities in which I participate, I was not the only one who had this problem.
There were also and are problems claiming our rewards, commenting, and looking at statistics. There are even intermittences in the automatic voting robots and in the publications scheduled by the calendar.
As I said several days ago this happened and today is the worst, so far.
Most likely this has to do with the new hard fork announced for these days, however, it is worth asking, should this type of modification to the software not be fully tested before impacting the productive application?
The situation reminds me of a previous job that I had in a small insurance company, for reasons unknown to me, that company did not have a testing environment, not even a fairly well-trained development environment, so most of the modifications and adding to the code of the company's main application was done practically in real-time; Despite the tests, the care we had and the safeguards we made of sensitive data prior to impacting the new version of the application, sometimes something went wrong and there could be consequences.
The greatest danger is that one gets used to working in the midst of danger and sometimes even relaxes in the controls and actions, it gives a little additional adrenaline if everything goes well it is perfect.
I am convinced of the professionalism and care of the code of the developers and administrators of the platform, however, this is very complex and we must take extreme measures, especially when there is money at stake.
I hope everything returns to normal soon, for the sake of the thousands of users in the hive.

El título de esta publicación es una expresión muy utilizada por estas latitudes para mencionar que alguna situación está empeorando en vez de mejorar.
Esa es la sensación que tengo desde hace algunos días con esta plataforma.
En los últimos días hemos tenido problemas para publicar, en mi caso particular me llevó a postear dos veces lo mismo ya que no recibí la notificación de la publicación había sido exitosa como ocurre siempre, y la envié de nuevo. Por conversaciones con otros usuarios y por lo que he podido observar en mi lista de favoritos y en las comunidades en las que participo, no fui el único que tuvo ese inconveniente.
También hubo y hay problemas a la hora de reclamar nuestras recompensas, al comentar y al observar estadísticas. Inclusive hay intermitencias en los robots de votos automáticos y en las publicaciones pautadas por calendario.
Como dije hace varios días que esto ocurre y hoy es el peor, hasta ahora.
Muy probablemente esto tenga que ver con la nueva bifurcación dura anunciada para estos días, sin embargo cabe preguntar ¿este tipo de modificación al software no debería probarse totalmente antes de impactar la aplicación productiva?
La situación me hace acordar a un empleo anterior que tuve en una pequeña compañía de seguros, por razones desconocidas para mi esa empresa no poseía un ambiente de testeo, ni siquiera un ambiente de desarrollo medianamente bien formado por lo que la mayoría de las modificaciones y agregados al código de la aplicación principal de la empresa se hacía prácticamente en tiempo real; pese a las pruebas, al cuidado que teníamos y a los resguardos que hacíamos de los datos sensibles previo a impactar la nueva versión de la aplicación, en oportunidades algo fallaba y podía haber consecuencias.
El mayor peligro está en que uno se acostumbra a trabajar en medio del peligro y hasta en ocasiones se relaja en los controles y acciones, da un poco de adrenalina adicional, si todo sale bien está perfecto.
Estoy convencido del profesionalismo y el cuidado del código de los desarrolladores y administradores de la plataforma, sin embargo esto es muy complejo y hay que extremar las medidas, sobre todo cuando hay dinero en juego.
Espero que todo vuelva pronto a la normalidad, por el bien de los miles de usuarios de la colmena.
Nota: publicaré este post desde Palnet.io parece ser la única aplicación de Hive que mantiene cierta normalidad.
