Upgrading the farm dam

while we still had the use of the TLB for a few hours today, we decided that it would be a good time to make use of that and dig out the dam slightly deeper at the section where the water has receded since the last rain.
ensuring that the farm is one of the biggest concerns given our rainfall and climate here in the northern half of southern africa.
this was also a good time to have a closer look at the soil quality of the receeded dam, its clay content and the rock content, on the aurface as well as inside the unearthed soil, which are all indicators of the health of your dam in years to come.
