Snow tires added for WRC Rally Monza

Hi, friends!

Michelin tire company has their last WRC rally for some time because Pirelli won the tender for the World Rally Championship for probably three year period.

Michelin is probably one of the best brands WRC delivered in the last 40 years and from my opinion, they have the best gravel tires in the world.

Pirelli's tarmac tire is better at the moment but that is also a part of evolution and development of the racing tires.

There are some other brands trying to enter into the WRC business as Hankook and MRF Tyres but their quality is still not on the level of Michelin and Pirelli.

Back to Rally Monza, the last rally of the season 2020.

Because it is run in December, there is a strong possibility of snow in the mountain area which is on program for Saturday of the rally.

So Michelin decided to add their snow tires into the option for teams.

I would say that this is a clever decision but snow tires are good in case of large snow or ice, and intermedia or wet tires can also be good on smoe partly covered snow/ice special stages.
