I wrote yesterday that Andrea Crugnola won Rally Sanremo yesterday after Craig Breen had 10s penalty for being late into the time control and for every minute late, you will be given 10s penalty.
That happened to Craig Breen who was late to the time control and that was because of the traffic jam. Hyundai appealed to that decision and organizers took that penalty away from him that means that he won the rally.
I don't know how that felt to Andrea Crugnola but they drive the same brand - Hyundai, si it should be some motivation for Crugnola from the Hyundai after win being lost at the green table.,
If you are a sportsman, then you must take some decisions calmly and give your hand to the opposite side because that is a sport.
That is also a 2nd win for Breen on Rally Sanremo in three years and really good preparation for WRC Rally Croatia.
Breen really needs the top result at Croatian tarmac and he doesn't have a possibility to crash out because young Oliver Solberg just waits to get back in the WRC car.
On the other side, there is also Dani Sordo, who even when he has a bad rally, finishes 5th overall, just at Monte Carlo Rallye in January. He will be there as long as he will deliver top results. And what keeps him in the car were wins on the gravel of Sardinia. He also helped Hyundai to win the manufacturer's crown at Monza in December.
To be honest, I don't remember when was the last time Dani Sordo made an error and went off with retirement as a consequence.
It is for sure a big boost for Breen ahead of Croatia Rally, the next round of the World Rally Championship, but also there is a big question mark over his head.
Let the best win - as always...
