R5 rally car category test before WRC Rally Sardinia 2020

Hi, friends!

Every international organizer has an obligation to organize a test on the representative surface similar to the roads on which the rally should be held.

WRC Rally Sardinia is a gravel event with brutal surface, very dusty but the rocky as in Turkey or a Cyprus.

Sardinian event is in the WRC calendar from season 2004 after Rally SanRemo was dropped from the calendar. I must admit that I liked SanRemo Rally very much. This event is now just part of the Italian national championship, nothing else.

What about R5 category or Rally2 cars?
Well, they progress little by little but when works cars are involved, the progress is much quicker.

Watch M-Sport Ford. They were the best with R5 Ford Fiesta but after they pulled out from the competition as a works Rally3 team, they are nowhere for a few seasons.

And their car can't beat Škoda, Volkswagen, Hyundai or Citroen. They have the worst R5 car on the market.
