Pirelli finished there WRC tire development

Italian tire company Pirelli finished their development process of new WRC tires for the season 2021.

Just to remind you that Andreas Mikkelsen tested whole 2nd part of this year, mostly in Italy but lately he tried the same tires with Škoda works team in Belgium.

Pirelli was working with Sainteloc Racing private team who purchased one of the Citroen C3 WRC rally cars.

The mostly tested on gravel because World Rally Championship rallies are the gravel ones and less on the tarmac.

Mikkelsen is a proven WRC rally winner with three wins under his belt and it is not an easy job to win in the World Rally Championship.

So, Michelin goes into the European Rally Championship and Pirelli is coming back to the WRC because they won WRC tender for tires.

This also means that Mikkelsen is without job for the rest of the year but as I said, he tested with Škoda in Belgium so that can also mean that he will contest Ypres Rally with the same manufacturer.
