Onboard rally video of the day - Gronholm with Peugeot 307 WRC at Acropolis Rally Greece

Hi, friends!

Rally Acropolis is back in the World Rally Championship! Yeah, notorious Greek event entered back into the groove after some of the rallies from 2021 WRC calendar cancelled their organization because of the coronavirus pandemic.

What to say?! At least, it is great to see this legendary rally back on the big scene.

And why did they disappear from WRC? You probably remember big Greek economic collapse from around 10 years ago. That's why they cancelled the organization of the rally. Well, it's needed around 2.5m euro to organize World Rally Championship event. And FIA and WRC promoter want Government guaranties signed before that the money will be paid to them.

Money turns the world around, they say... I must say that I am gas to see those mountain rocky and dusty special stages this season. I didn't see them for years. I don't even know if they run it as a national event and I follow rallying all around the world.

So that's the reason I chose Marcus Gronholm and his Peugeot 307 WRC from Acropolis Rally Greece 2005 as an onboard rally video of the day.

Those engine from Pug 307 was super strong and powerfult, built by Pipo Moteurs France, legendary manufacturer specialized for building competition engines.

The problem with that car was very weak four gear gearbox and also very weak power steering. Gronholm had so much problems with those things. Without that tech problems, he would probably win some more championships after two he won in 2000 and 2002.

Enjoy and learn for tall Flying Finn...
