M-Sport sends two Ford Fiesta Rally2 cars for French national championships

Hi, friends!

You probably ask yourself why there is word championships when maybe there is only one national championship in the France!?

Yeah, you red correctly because France has tarmac and gravel championship divided from each other so that means that also they have two different champions at the end of every season.

M-Sport started cooperation with with small TM Competition rally team which I never heard for before. But id Malcolm Wilson gave them a trust, then we can be sure that they worth something.

Let's talk about drivers they chose for this mission.
Gilbert Quentin and Stephane Consani are very well known drivers and both of them had some World Rally Championship outings but you know what they say - when there was a chance to succeed in the WRC and you blew it, it will hardly come another (unless you have super wealthy family which can pay for all your errors; I saw that also during the years).

Quentin was Junior World Rally Champion in 2015 and after that he lost every trace without a try in a top WRC class. To be more precise he got a chance form Citroen to drive their DS3 R5 rally car in the WRC2 championship which he finished only 11th in 2016.

At the end of 2016 he drove works Citroen DS3 WRC at Wales Rally where he finished only 17th. That was not enough for Citroen's bosses and he had to go back into the French tarmac championship.

On the other hand Stephane Consani will drive a gravel championship after he won an Italian gravel championship in 2019. His successor in 2020 is Marco Bulacia who just signed with TOK Sport (I wrote about that yesterday). So, to win Italian gravel championship, you must be quick. That's why he was chosen for this job from M-Sport.

M-Sport desperately needs promotion of their Rally2 technology because privateers rather buy Škoda, Citroen or Hyundai these days.

Let the best win - as always...
