Lappi confirmed for WRC Rally Portugal 2021

Hi, friends!

Finally we have some good news for young flying Finn Esapekka Lappi who had opening WRC2 season from the dreams with win at Arctic Rally Finland.

Well, this season Finland will have two WRC events, one in the winter and another in August.

First one was organized great in a very short time but for the summer gravel rally we have to wait to see what will organizer announce.

Big problem in Finland is the number of spectators and in summer it could be full. It is all down to the Finnish Government and organizers of the event itself to say if they will allow it or not. It could be another great event if everything will be OK.

Esapekka Lappi is in really great position because he has one win from the one start. Now he has to build more on this.

He has a new management team behind him and we are talking about EVEN Management (I wrote yesterday about them, connection with Veiby family). On Arctic Rally Finland he had only one sticker on the car and it was EVEN Management so that means that they paid his outing and the car was rented from Finnish rally team Printsport.

I have even more: Movisport from Italy paid the entry fee and Lappi drove for them in WRC2 championship.

It is still unknown which car he will drive at Portugal but I guess it will be Volkswagen Polo R5 or Škoda Fabia Rally2.
