Jon Armstrong won Junior WRC class in Croatia

Hi, friends!

I used to follow Junior World Rally Championship much more twenty years ago but now, when I saw that battle alive, it is really different story.

In the era of great sounding Super 1600 cars, it was much different. Revving engines up to 9000rpm were something to enjoy, and today for JWRC we have 1.0 liter turbo engine. Can you imagine that?! There is also no great sound from the cars, just some bad noise from the exhaust.

But what is important is that the cars are same and they are all prepared by M-Sport Poland so you can't make some cheats on the engine etc. That's good. Cup is good and only drivers matter after all.

The only problem is the price of the season for Juniors (drivers up to 30 years old :D ) which is around 150 000€ without personal expenses. Yeah, motorsport is very expensive but if you win JWRC, you can climb even more.

We saw how current Junior WRC champion Tom Kristensson finished his first rally of the season with the car he got as a gift because he won JWRC - in the trees with destroyed chassis. Again, motorsport is very expensive.

But ex eRally champion Jon Armstrong came to Croatia and won the class in style. He made his vlog so you can see he thoughts before and after the rally itself.

Nice job, Jon...
