Andreas Mikkelsen is back in the World Rally Championship but not behind a wheel of a top category WRC1. He will be again in Škoda Fabia Rally2 with Eurosol Rally Team from Hungary who ran a car for Oliver Solberg on Rally Hungary a few weeks ago.
It is good for a sport to have such a large entry list with 11 WRC1 cars and around 50 WRC2 cars. Great stuff.
Eurosol Rally Team from Hungary will run two drivers at Monza - Andreas Mikkelsen and Emil Lindholm.
Mikkelsen will be with Pirelli rubber because he tested their tires this year before they come back into the WRC next season.
Emil Lindholm drives with MRF tyres from India and it will be a good benchmark for the tires manufacturers to see who is better.
Zhere will be another ex-works driver around - Stephane Lefebvre who will drive Citroen C3 R5 rally car for DMAX Swiss rally team. Lefebvre was ex-Citroen works driver and he knows good their machinery.
The main battle will be for the WRC crown and four drivers have a chance to win it: Elfyn Evans and Seb Ogier in Toyotas and Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak in Hyundais.
Hyundai currently leads manufacturer's championship but you know what they say - to win you must finish first.
Let the best win - as always...
