BREAKING NEWS: Oliver Solberg gets Hyundai WRC drive for Rally Sardinia

Hi, friends!

Young Oliver Solberg is getting more and more attention from Hyundai World Rally Team after his superb performance at WRC Arctic Rally in Finland earlier this year.

His father Petter, who is also 2003 WRC champion, was against that drive with Hyundai i2o WRC because he thought it was coming to soon for his son youngster.

But as he was offered a drive by Ford in 1999 for Safari Rally where he finished 5th overall, the same way came the offer for his son Oliver, but this time it was from Hyundai who already contracted youngster but for WRC3 category.

It seems that Solberg sr doesn't want too much pressure on his son too soon. But the way sport progresses and how much Oliver drives and tests, you can't avoid better result. Because of that the WRC offer came, first for Arctic Rally Finland and now for WRC Rally Sardinia which is a gravel rally, completely different from snow and ice at Arctic.

But Scandinavians are born gravel drivers and Oliver Solberg, as Swede, is not a exception.

I guess that top six result is possible if not even better. But there is a new boy in town - Adrien Fourmaux who shone bright for M-Sport Ford in Croatia. But this is another story because Croatian event is a tarmac rally and Fourmaux is a tarmac specialist. Oliver Solberg didn't even want to come and try Croatian tarmac, no one know why but I guess he and his family decided that it is better for youngster to develop on gravel primary because most of the WRC rallies are held on tarmac.

Anyway, it will be very interested at Sardinia. Let the best win - as always...
