NOT A HYPOCRITE
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye (MATTHEW 7:5).
It is true that every Believer in Christ is a Minister_ a servant of God called to minister or serve in words and deeds.
To make the word we preach effective is to live by the very word we preach.
It is the devil's idea to say "Do as I say and not as I do".
The Apostle Paul encouraged,
"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" _ 1 Corinthians 11:1
Another version says, "Imitate me for I imitate Christ".
When your actions are the words you preach, then can you know how to preach it undoubtedly to another, and by so doing, you send a message to the hearers who will have no choice but make a choice .
If we don't live the words we preach, we'll not be able to realize the full potency of the word we proclaim.
You can't accurately correct another, neither give good counsel, if you've not first given such treatment to yourself.
"The potency (power, effectiveness) of the words you preach/teach is dependent on how much of that word you live".
We shall not be hypocrites!
We shall hear, teach and do God's word, in Jesus mighty name, AMEN.
